I bought this about a month ago, out of necessity, because our Maytag dishwasher's board died. I decided to go with a KitchenAid this time mainly for the warranty, but I have been so impressed with the cleaning abilities and how quite this machine is, I hardly know it is running. I never felt like my Maytag got the dishes fully clean and dry, but with this one I have never seen my dishes so clean. I am super impressed with this machine.

We bought this several weeks ago and are still futzing with it. We did not have to heat dry using our old dishwasher but for this one we do. Dishes are still wet, so we will try Extended Dry next. Also it is too easy to accidentally press a button to run the dishwasher when we are only trying to close the door. Lastly, the handle extends out so that we are continually bumping into it. We are regretting the decision to replace our old dishwasher.

I'm not terribly high maintenance when it comes to appliances but the specs on this one are great. I really like the stainless steel interior and exterior that make it easy to clean. It has a large capacity for our 4-person household and dishes have come out well washed.

It much to complain about here. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Nice features like the hidden controls and the adjustable racking. It is very quiet and cleans very well. This is also a very affordable unit even in the kitchenAid line up. So far so good

We've been using the dishwasher for about a month now and I am surprised at how quiet it is. Sometimes I'm not even sure if it is on. The only sound heard is the noise coming from the kitchen sink while the water is draining.

I've had the dishwasher for a month and I'm happy with the looks and performance. It runs quietly and does a good job cleaning the dishes. A few minor complaints prevent me from awarding 5 stars - the black trim piece at the bottom is plastic and too flexible so it bows out slightly due to the insulation, and second, the top panel control on one side doesn't sit flush with the door (not sure if it is an assembly issue or design issue). Neither of these issues affect the operation of the dishwasher but do detract from the premium feel of the product.

Needed to replace 10 yr old Kitchen aid dishwasher as it was making a noise that indicated replacement. Bought same brand because we liked the previous Kitchenaid appliances and it required less plumbing changes therefore less plumbing cost.
Bad move!!
1.This upper rack doesn't have the clips to hold things like plastic lids. 2.We had to remove the stemware fold down piece to allow our normal size glassware to fit without sliding/tipping and even then there isn't enough space to put juice glasses in front of them. 3.The silverware basket is a joke as steak knives tip sideways in the slide on cover. Wish it flipped up like the old one! You have to totally remove the slotted cover.Wish I had known this so I could have kept the old one.
4.Yes it is quiet but we run it at night because it takes so long!!

I love everything about the dishwasher the bottle was feature is really nice especial for cleaning out protein shake bottles since any little thing left will make them smell. This is extremely quite. The only issue I have is the door,I feel it does not close smoothly it feels very forced in an uneven sort of way which I really dislike. So on cleaning absolutely great, extremely quite but I do really dislike the door for the amount of money I spent on it.

I've had this dishwasher for 10 months and I've had problems with it ever since I bought it. Let me first say I purchased this new dishwasher in conjunction with a new KitchenAid Ice Maker, new KitchenAid Mini Fridge, and new KitchenAid Microwave ($4K value).. and I also have another KitchenAid dishwasher in my house. All of these appliances work great! Except for this new dishwasher. After the dishwasher was installed I noticed the dishwasher would not dry the dishes. I called KitchenAid who sent out a technician who did some tests and said the heating mechanism might be the problem. This was after the technician lectured me on my use of Cascade detergent (apparently not good), said I should let the faucet run for 30 seconds to heat up the water before I used the dishwasher, said I should use jet dry, and ensure it was set to certain wash settings (apparently don't use all those special buttons and wash settings). Of course this all this is ridiculous, but after the technician replaced the heating mechanism I had him do the honors of performing all these steps prior to starting the dishwasher. He started it and then the technician left. Two hours later the dishwasher completed the cycle and you guessed it... dishes were still wet. I called KitchenAid again recently and told them I think I have a lemon, but since my one year warranty only covers repair, KitchenAid will not replace. So I'm not only writing this review to tell my story, but also writing to inform everyone that your KitchenAid manufacture warranty only covers repairs and not full replacement. The technicians essentially work for KitchenAid and seems they have absolutely no incentive and apparently no authority to replace your appliance. You are stuck with the technician lecturing you about what you didn't do PRIOR to starting the dishwasher. It's very frustrating and I've been dealing with this issue for months. Just be informed before you buy these appliances... if you get a lemon you might be stuck with it for years.

We bought this machine to replace a 15 year old KitchenAid dishwasher. We were looking for another quiet dishwasher since the kitchen is part of a great room connected to a Family room and breakfast nook. When the dishwasher is running, you can barely hear it. Even better, the glassware is coming out bright and sparkly clear. We live in a City with hard water, and thought that was part of the problem with our old machine, but the dishes look great! thrilled with the quality of the cleaning! The bottle washing feature is an added bonus to wash all the reusable water bottles the kids take to school.

Really solid dish washer. It is really quiet and does an excellent job cleaning. If I could I would actually give it 4-1/2 stars. The only limiting factor on giving it 5 stars is that it doesn't dry the dishes as well as my old dish washer. They always come out wetter than expected. I would purchase the machine again and do recommend it.

We bought this dishwasher about two weeks ago and we are very happy with it. It is very quiet and easy operation. The dishes come out shinny and clean. There are couple of bottle wash sprayers on the top shelf where you can put bottles or large glasses. The racks are easy to slide in and out. The silverware rack can be taken out to unload the clean silverware. the prowash setting is the main setting to use. This dishwasher is the quietest dishwasher we have had so far.

Looks great in my kitchen. Very impressed with how quiet this dishwasher is, especially given it's central location in a kitchen island. Need to using rinse aid to help with drying; rinse aid helps to reduce pooling water on top of cups/glassware on top rack.

We had to replace the Bosch dishwasher that had come with our place over a decade ago. The model was probably 15+ years old, so was still cleaning our dishes but was itself getting ratty and gross. After extensive research, as I do for most of my major purchases, I landed on the BestBuy site, which was offering both a sale price AND free installation (alone a savings of $150 or so). So pre-tax, and not accounting for disposal/removal fee, about $800? Had sound suppression been an issue, I'd have gone for a quieter model for an extra $200 but this one works perfect so far!!

We love our new dishwasher so much! The wash is excellent and super quiet which is what we were looking for. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that apparently you need to grease the hinges on the door to loosen them up and keep them from creaking loudly when you open or close. I just would expect for the price for that to already be done.
Overall we are very very happy with our kitchenaid dishwasher :) the greasing is an easy fix ;)

I have had this dishwasher for 3 years now and it was working fine but now it has completely stopped washing dishes. I went through all of the troubleshooting options and cleaned out all the filters and still not working. I don't mind paying a little bit more for quality appliances, but to get 3 years out of a high end dishwasher is not acceptable. As a builder, I will think twice about what appliances to use in my construction.

We have been using this dishwasher for a couple of weeks now. It's so quiet you don't even know it's on. The one issue I have is that it doesn't dry the dishes very well. We started using the rinse solution and that did help a bit. I would recommend this dishwasher. The capacity is tremendous. We have a family of seven and we can easily fit all the dinner plates and glasses in one load.

I wanted to replace all of my kitchen appliances and after reading countless reviews I decided to go with KitchenAid and have zero regrets.
This dishwasher was not touted as the quietest model in the line but I have to say when it's running I can't hear a thing. Our kitchen is somewhat closed in so noise wasn't really a factor but it's a nice bonus. This unit also cleans great! I always had to pre-clean dishes before they went into the dishwasher but with this model I can just throw them in and they come out clean and shiny.
My one minor gripe is that the silverware basket handle isn't really necessary. I read where some people cut it off but I just work around it easy enough but they could have done that better. It's a very small thing so no stars off for that.
Worth mentioning: I installed this myself and then I first powered it on the control panel would not work. I initially thought the panel was defective but as a part of the troubleshooting I used the breaker to turn power off then on to reset it and it started working just fine. Not sure why it was confused like that at first but it has been no problem at all since.
